Ampoules and the Derma Q Pen…..

It has been a bit of time since my last post and I have been so happy with the results of my last peel that I have let some time lapse before adding anything new to my daily skin care routine.

As we start into a new year, let’s not forget that this is the perfect time to encourage our clients to do their more aggressive or photo sensitive peels and whitening treatments. The winter months are the time to treat that sun damage from last season. You can look back at some of my older posts and read up on my experience using the MCCM Melano Out protocol. I loved this product and after my glycol peel in November, I have added the Melano Out Cream to my nightly skincare routine to enhance the whitening and lightening effects of the peel. Love the results I get from this cream!

Today I am starting a series on some of the MCCM ampoules. I am using them in conjunction with the MCCM Derma Q pen.

The Derma Q pen allows me to adjust the depth of the needle head depending on the application and area of the face and body that I am working on at the time. I love the versatility of it! I use the pen with one time use pen heads that are either 12 pin for the face or 24 pen for the body. I apply the contents of the ampoules I am using and then work the pen around that area, reapplying the ampoule serum three to five times and going over each treated area after each application.

I am already a huge fan of micro needling and this is the first time I have used the pen. The results are amazing and in some cases, over night! It really increases the efficacy of the serums and the accurate delivery to the correct layers of the skin. Also in my experience, it was less uncomfortable than the micro needle rollers have used in the past.

So this month I am working with four ampoules in my treatments. I am working with the MCCM Out Contour ampoule for the eye area, the premixed MCCM Antiaging Flash cocktail ampoule, the MCCM Dexpanthanal ampoule and the MCCM Laureth ampoule. Let me tell you a bit about each one.

MCCM Out Contour for the Eyes Vial

So I used the MCCM Derma Q mesotherapy pen for this application. The Out Contour treats the eye area for under the eye bags, dark circles, to increase firmness and moisture, and to reduce wrinkles around the eyes. I set my pen to a depth of .25 for working around the sensitive eye area. The Out Contour comes in a vial rather than an ampoule and I used a syringe to withdraw my product. The vial is good for one month in the fridge once opened. I saw a good result the next day in the firmness around my eyes and reduction in wrinkles. After two applications, I could really notice a big difference in the under eye dark circles and puffiness. This is a treatment that I would recomend setting up in a series for your client to see maximum results. This is a premixed cocktail serum that includes active ingredients such as Hexapeptides, Tocopherol, Sodium Pyruvate, Dimethylaminoethanol and Panthenol. A great eye treatment for anyone!

MCCM Antiaging Flash ampoules

This sterile and water based ampoule is a miracle worker! It is also a premixed cocktail serum ampoule. This cocktail contains Collagen, Mimosa Tenuiflora, Vitamin C and Vitamin F. I waited and used this ampoule all over my face the night before a big event I was attending. Loved it! is not a strong enough statement for sure! It tightened up my skin thus reducing wrinkles and making my skin look lifted. I looked fresh and bright. My skin looked younger and just glowing. I had more compliments than I have had in a long time. I continued to apply the remaining contents of the ampoule on my face and neck the day after using it with the Derma Q pen as I still had some of the serum left. I would recommend using this in the treatment room and having the ampoules available for sell for clients to take home.

MCCM Depanthenol ampoules

The main ingredients in this ampoule is Phantenol and B5. It is good for increasing moisture in dry and sensitive skin or skin with sun damage and it is also good as a hair treatment for dryness. I applied this ampoule during the same treatment as the MCCM Out Contour for the eyes. I preformed the eye treatment first and then adjusted the pen head depth on the DermaQ pen to the appropriate depth for the area of the face that I was working on. I noticed an immediate difference in the texture of my skin with it feeling so much more calm and hydrated the following day. Was a lovely treatment for dry winter skin.

MCCM Laureth 0.5% ampoules

The main ingredient in the MCCM Laureth ampoule is Laureth-9. This is a powerful serum used primarily to treat rosacea and redness as well as spider veins. I noted that it was very calming on my sensitive skin. I used this alone the on my first treatment and the second time, I mixed it in a cockatail with the MCCM Dexpanthenol ampoule. I do have some redness on my cheeks and it definitely helped there. It has a nice calming feeling on the skin. I did not use it on my body for spider veins but have spoken to others the thought it helped.

Matis NEW Delicate line for Sensitive skin.

I simply can not end this blog with out a shout out to Matis and their new additions to the Delicate line. Matis has developed some new products in the delicate line that include the Saffron Flower. It has been proven to have even a more effective anti inflammatory response in the skin than the original products in the line.

This month I tried the Sensibiotic Cream which is the new Delicate line cream, the Sensibiotic Peel and the Sensiflora Toner. Now I was already in love with the Lime blossom water and did not think that the SensiFlora Toner could hold up to it, but I was wrong. This new SensiFlora Toner has all of the benefits of the Lime-Blossom Lotion with the added benefits from the Saffron Flower. My skin feels even better after daily use in my cleansing and toning routine with an even more soothing and relaxing effect than the Lime Blossom water.

The Sensibiotic Cream is so creamy and soothing. I love using it in the wintertime when my skin gets so dry and uncomfortable. It is worth a try if you liked the Delicate Moisturizing cream.

And finally, the Sensibiotic peeling cream. All the benefits of a mild peel, overnight while you sleep. I applied this before going to bed after cleansing my skin and woke up with refreshed skin.

The Matis Delicate line is a wonderful compliment to any peeling treatment and/or in conjunction with mesotherapy treatments. I highly recommend having these products in your treatment lineup!
